First of all, I am a 3rd Generation Model Blue Devil. My Grandfather, Father, and I graduated from Model.  I finished here at Model in 1979. After Leaving Model I attended Floyd Junior College where I received an Associate of Arts with a Major in Criminal Justice.
I left the college world for a while and experienced life in a variety of work experiences. I worked in the carpet industry, was a car salesman for Ford and Chevrolet where I was S.E. Regional Walk-Around Champion and Salesman of the year. I moved from there to Toyota as a finance manager and then left for Manufactured Home Sales. Afterwards I had a 3 year stint with the United States Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier in Fairmount, Georgia.
The most important part of my life outside of education were the years I spent in the U.S. Navy Reserves. I worked as an Intelligence Specialist with Atlantic Intelligence Command.
The Navy helped me complete my degree in Education. I attended West Georgia College where I finished my B.S. in Secondary Education in 1993. I accepted a job at Hawkinsville High School in Hawkinsville Georgia as a football and baseball coach.
I came back to Rome and worked at Chattooga High School as a football coach and completed my M.Ed. in Secondary Education.
I begin teaching at Model in 1996 where I was the Middle School In-School-Suspension Teacher, Varsity Wrestling Coach, Football Coach, and Track. Today I teach 7th Grade Social Studies where I have been for the past 12 years. Both my Kids, Katy 16, and Duncan 14, attend Model and play sports.
